Samuel & John ( Jack) had brother Enoch and sisters Lucy, Jane and Mary Ann who remained in England.
Their grandparents were William Pitchford and Sarah Banks .
Family moved from Wolverhampton to Bolton area in 1870's.
A family visit to Pitchford . Travelling down to Shropshire for the day, visiting the village and the church with time for a rest by the sign... Thanks to Sophie Pitchford and Alice Pitchford for use of this picture!
We can now trace this line back to Lilleshall , Shropshire England . John and Samuel's Great Grandfather was born there in 1771.

I've been digging into Pitchford family history for the last 11 years ( with a chunk of time out in the late nineties) Marrying into an interesting surname has taken me on a real voyage of discovery. Living in Lancashire with my husband and children, I've been delighted to trace the family back to Bilston in the West Midlands and so very pleased and privileged to meet via the net so many helpful people by the name of Pitchford.
So in addition to branches in the West Midlands, a link to Canada and relatives in Lancashire and more recently Hampshire all I would love to do now is establish a link to America and I could rest happy also I'd love Nigel in Oz to turn out to be a relative!
So if on your travels, you start to trip over the name Enoch - who knows we could be related ( by marriage of course)!
