Samuel & John ( Jack) had brother Enoch and sisters Lucy, Jane and Mary Ann who remained in England.
Their grandparents were William Pitchford and Sarah Banks .
Family moved from Wolverhampton to Bolton area in 1870's.
Samuel Pitchford born 1705 Prince George , Virginia, British Colony. It is supposed he is the
son of Joseph and Elizabeth Pitchford who were given a land grant as French Huegonauts (sp?) around 1701, in Virginia.

Hi,
Our Pitchford line is through Samuel Pitchford , Sr. who was born about 1705 in Northumberland County, Virginia. He died in 1765 in Amelia County, Virginia. He married Amy Bevill about 1730 in Henrico County, Virginia.

I have confused myself. Your note did say Thomas D. It must have been Thomas J that I found.
Will double check that. Too much time has lapsed for me to remember.
I have not been able to sit at the computer too long lately, a lot of back
pain, but getting better.
I searched through everything but could not find a Thomas "D" Pitchford from
that area at that time. There was another Thomas, but different middle initial.
Wish I could have helped and added another branch. Have you checked the passenger lists to see when they arrived? Or have any family stories about when they came here?
Vicky,
I left out Eli, son of Daniel and father of Lewis James. This branch of the Pitchfords migrated to Missouri. Daniel eventually came to live with his son Eli, after his wife died, and died in Webster, Mo.
Hi Vicky,
Glad to hear from you. I am from Calif., my mother is from Oklahoma, her mother, born in Webster, Mo., they moved to Mt. Home, Arkansas when she was a child. My grandmother Mary Lou Pitchford married George W Denton, also from Arkansas, Gassville. Of course, they all starterd out in your home state Va. & Kentucky. We are descendants of Daniel and his son
Lewis James. Hope to hear from you.
My Dad (James Pitchford) is from Natchez, Mississippi. He is on this website. He could probably tell you when the Pitchfords moved into Natchez. Where is Putnam co. I worked in Beckley and lived in Morgantown for a brief period.
