i didn't have enough space but glad to see and know of you. my dad was a col in the air force and if anybody knows him they'll tell you he was a dam good sol.
Did you know that Cyrus Burtons grandfather, Daniel Pitchford, fought in the Revolutionary War? I have copies of his pension papers if you would like a copy.
I know they have daughters of the Rev War, Probably have sons of the Rev War
too. You would be eligible to join that.
Hi Ellis,
I got your message in my guest book. I think e have a definite connection, but
I haven't got it quite together. I think your grandfathers fathers great grandfather was Cyrus BURTON Pitchofrd. Those Pitchfords used the same names over and over. My great grandfather is Cyrus BENTON Pitchford born 1860. But, the thing I find really interesting is the fact that Cyrus Burton founded the Mount Zion church on Pitchford Ridge in Allen County, Kentucky.
Eli Pitchford, my great grandfathers, grandfather was one of the founders of the Mount Zion Church in Webster, Missouri. If you go to Stories on the front page of my site it will say something about the Church. Click on it and it gives the history and some of the grave markers. I need more info. who was you grandfathers grandfather? That will probaply make the connection. I added more Pitchfords you may know, related to Cyrus Burton. Hope to hear back soon
my email address if grambegoin@comcast.net, or you can comment on my Pitchford page. I have a Picture of Cyrus, on the site Benton, not Burton.
Lindsey
Hi Ellis,
Thought you might like to look at an ancestry page I am dstill working on, but it has some Pitchfords from Kentucky. I am still entering things, but thought you might like to look at what is there and some pictures. Would you do me a favor and sign the quest book, it is the way I keep a records of who has visited.
It is open right now so you don't need a password. go to www.lhagen.tribalpages.com
Hi Ellis, Sorry to take so long. I tried to trace yours back but I need another
generation and dates of birth on where born. The last census was taken in 1930 so they would have to be listed on that. Since our line of Pitchfords
all come from Kentucky, Virginia when there was no Kentucky, I am sure you
fit into the picture. Even a first name of you g grandfather or your grandfathers birth date would help.
Your pictures are fun to look at and obviously you have a great sense of humor. "Liz"
Hi Ellis,
I wonder where your family fits into the family tree? Do you have you grandparents of g grandparents names and where they were born? I
have quite a bit info and can check with the trees I have. Enjoyed your
pictures. my address grambegion@comcast.net
hope to hear from you, Lindsey
